THE STORY BEHIND OUR STORY
The Beaches Market was founded on a wet Friday in November 2011 by Lindsay Frazer and Phil Taylor. They saw the need for a place to shop for the weekend and not at the weekend so time could be spent enjoying the lifestyle and activities that the Northern Beaches has to offer. For stallholders it added an extra trading day to their week instantly making them more viable and as such attracting the best traders from as far away as Port Macquarie, Dungog, Orange, Young, the Southern Highlands as well as products from just down the road.
The market was immediately welcomed by local shoppers and quickly grew from 17 to over 100 of the best stalls available in Sydney. With entertainment for kids, live music and space to sit on the grass and enjoy the festival like atmosphere, The Beaches Market soon became not only the best Friday shopping destination but a weekly community meeting point for locals.
It’s always been the mission of Lindsay and Phil to only include stalls selling high quality produce and products and ideally grown or made by the stallholder themselves.
A community meeting place to eat, relax and shop for high quality produce and unique fashion items and much more!
